AI is on its extremely speedy, adventurous ride. The world's current endeavor to rapidly advance a new type of intelligence and compete with other companies and countries leads to perpetual innovation and breakthroughs. Still, it poses a significant risk of misleading humanity to an irreversible, catastrophic outcome in many domains through the loss of humanness, human roles, and clarity in the progress.
The current misaligned AI progress and neglect of societal, value-related development make us very vulnerable and unprepared in a society in which almost all labor will be able to be replaced by "superhuman" AI models. In a world where, from a provincial and short-sighted economic standpoint, humans are negligible and seemingly unimportant, how can we make sure we stay important and human, if not more human and flourishing than ever before?
Just like how democracy was exemplified and prevailed, the road paving for the optimal, enjoyable, and "human" future with AI can only be created through the attention, efforts, and contributions of many in a variety of ways. And we can and will no longer wait. Time is running, and AI technology is advancing, so if nobody is going to do it, we are. - YAFI Team
Activism and Cooperation
Special recognition by the Voluntary Agency Network of Korea (VANK) and Gyeonggi Province through winning the Excellence Award for our work as "Global AI ambassador - First cohort":
Advocated for the mitigation of AI misinformation that harms Korean culture, history, and political reputation; proposed potential policies and cooperation frameworks for South Korean AI governance that ensure ethics and cultural sustainability.

Our founder cooperated with the official South Korean youth Government entity on topics of AI ethics, AI safety and the need for a stronger human-centered AI governance with the recently enforced law "FRAMEWORK ACT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE CREATION OF A FOUNDATION FOR TRUST" mentioning human dignity and social welfare, but mainly focusing on measures for the industry's continued growth.

Our goal is to interview and spread the knowledge and insights of leading experts in the field of AI. We aim to highlight questions that aren't being raised enough, such as topics of human-AI coevolution and humanness, to enable widespread, credible awareness of this field and to justify the growing need for active discussion.
We aim to build projects that establish collective conscience/consciousness. To exemplify the ethical beliefs and societal visions of YAFI, we must build projects that exemplify these 4 factors: Raising awareness, education, public participation, global recognition in academia and governance.
